i woke up from a bad dream
and then i saw you beside me
i felt reassured because you never left my side...
it was just a dream, a bad dream
i prayed would last
and yes, it did...
heaven must've heard me crying,
must have seen me drowning in my own river of sorrows
and now that a new morn has come
i am looking forward to the sunshine
as we live by the day
and strengthening our love
that i have learned to understand...
i say "thank you" that we never lost our grip
that we still hold the future we once dreamed of spending together
a fresh start has begun
and yes, i am still looking forward to a life together...
...i love you and i know i always will.
